Promises to keep…

Always_AliWEBtn

Ali Caldwell is ready for her sophomore year of high school. After last year, she vows that this year is going to be uneventful, and most importantly, private.

Then she meets Samantha, a transfer student, who claims they have the same father and wants Ali’s life. Ali, in an attempt to keep Samantha from ruining her dad’s fledgling Senate campaign, allows herself to be blackmailed to keep the information secret.

Can Ali find out the truth and get her life back, while keeping her personal vow not to be on TV this year?

Ali Caldwell’s (mostly unwanted) adventures continue in this fourth novel for readers 11 and up.

War comes to Connecticut

For 14-year-old Alex Kellar, the war can’t be over soon enough. His beloved older brother Oliver is with the 101st Airborne, right in the heart of Nazi Germany’s last-ditch battle for survival.

That battle is about to come closer to home, beginning with Alex and his friend Larry discovering a drowned man washed up on the beach. When the body is identified as a German spy, the boys bask for a brief time in the spotlight. It’s an exhilarating moment.

Except once the spotlight is gone, Alex discovers that spy was not alone, and the lives of two elderly women his brother made him promise to look after—not to mention Alex’s parents and older sister—are in great danger. Dare he tell the authorities the secret? If he doeAlexWEBtnsn’t, will it betray all Oliver is fighting to protect?

From award-winning author Chester Aaron comes a story that makes history come alive, a worthy companion to his story of another teen’s struggle to survive in the horrors of the Warsaw Ghetto, Gideon.

As with all Zumaya Thresholds books, Alex, Who Won His War is available in all popular ebook formats and in trade paperback wherever good books are sold.

Chimericana Books release Watcher (G3-whistleblower #2) novel by Mike Philbin

WATCHER cover May 2014The follow-up to last year’s Tandem (G3-whistleblower #1) novel, Watcher further expands on the surrealistic confessions of a covert-operations super-soldier.

Super Soldier: someone who can dream harder than you.

Covert Operative: your mum, your dad, your sister, your brother, your son, your daughter.

War World: the place where you live right now, at war for PROFIT.

Dream Space: ah, come on, you know what I’m going to say, “Your dreams are not what you think they are.”

So, where are we going with this press release for Mike Philbin’s latest fictional novel?

In Tandem, released in 2013, Lorien Howell, an estate manager at Oxford law firm Convo & Convo, is seduced by her G3 whistleblowing client ‘Actor Arrenay’ to join him in liberating mankind from The Global Gambling Game or War World. Of course, she doesn’t believe him, in fact she despises his lunatic ramblings, until the evidence starts to mount in his favour and she finally sees what kind of a sick and manipulative (and wasted) world she inhabits.

In Watcher, released in 2014, having lived on the streets of the city for seven years, ex G3-agent Vagrant Millgate starts to receive messages from a cube inside his head. He had lost his job. He had lost his daughter. He had lost his wife. Suddenly, he has a new mission, his life has new meaning. But how will he be able to cope when the G3-world of psychic-attack dogs and transforming super-soldiers has changed so much in his absence?

Vagrant Millgate finally chases down his first target by listening to the Shirley Bassey song, “I who have nothing,” that’s been playing in this person’s head all morning. His mission is to save this guy from a fate worse than death. Very soon, it all starts to go wrong and Vagrant Millgate finds himself in a struggle for power that may encapsulate the whole of modern human experience.

“One down, seven to go,” says his new friend and ally Lady Grey but where will her charitable patronage take our hero? And what is his role in a world rampant with these surrealistic and seemingly unbeatable foes?

Still none the wiser? Wait until next year when Kumiko (G3-whistleblower #3) takes the reader on a manic and frantic journey across the universe.

Mike Philbin is the author of over twenty books, novels and collections including Red Hedz, Szmonhfu, Animal Instincts, Bukkakeworld, Planet of the Owls, Yoroppa, View From A Stolen Window, Custodian (free planet #1), Liberator (free planet #2), Tandem (G3-whistleblower #1) and Watcher (G3-whistleblower #2).

Philbin’s a radical, he professes to ‘detest the mainstream’ and ‘cannot understand how such emotionless Franchise Writing can satisfy the creative needs of the writer, OR the reader’.

Chimericana Books release two new Oxford-set surrealist horror Mike Philbin novels Custodian and Tandem.

“is it a FREE PLANET or is it a WAR WORLD?”

the title assumes you understand what either a Free Planet or a War World even is.

And that’s dangerous.

Why?

Well, we’re taught, from an early age, that it’s our ‘right as free human beings’ to ‘live long and prosper’ and to ‘go forth and multiply’ to ‘earn our own salt’ and have our world ‘the way we want it’, cherries on top, three squirts of cappuccino foam and loads of horsepower under the hood.

THE GAME PLAYERS OF THE CORPORATE WORLD still need to fill their pockets with profit, at your expense, that’s the bottom line. Think too hard about that and you end up in a strange limbo mind set where you’re watching the television news and nothing makes sense. You’re just screaming at the TV going, “You’re all professionally lying for your advertisers and sponsors. You’re saying exactly what they pay you to say.”

Let’s face it, this world, this modern city-based industrial/consumerist virus of ours upon this Earth, is slowly becoming One Global Empire. And it’s an empire of slave wages, but it’s also an empire based on the spoils of war. This planet we live on, is both a (cynically propagandised) Free Planet and a (constitutionally denied) War World.

But why is this knowledge DANGEROUS?

Well, it’s dangerous because it’s not the truth. Or, at the very least, it’s not the ‘real truth’ as those playing both sides of the game know it. It’s dangerous for you, dear reader, because (at some point) you’re going to want to ‘take action’ against your Global Landlord or your Omnipotent Despot or Your Slavery. But you can’t. Because it’s all a game. And no one wins. All revolutionistas just all come back to PLAY THE SAME GAME TOMORROW.

The concept is called ‘change the game’ and it’s dealt with in intimate detail in two novels from author/artist Mike Philbin called, Custodian and Tandem. And he’s done it before. Released two books in the same year. 2008 saw the dual release of Bukkakeworld and Planet of the Owls from Silverthought press. 2011 saw the dual release of Yoroppa and View from a Stolen Window from sci-fi-cafe press. 2013, though this was never planned, is looking like it’s heading towards a similar situation, with the near-dual release of Oxford-set novels Custodian and Tandem from Chimericana Books.

BOTH BOOKS AVAILABLE NOW AT AMAZON or ITUNES etc..

Custodian (free planet #1)
took five years to complete and tells the story of a group of Oxford University students called the Custodian Liberation who combine computer hacking and gene hacking to release mankind from its corporate nda or non-disclosure agreement. It’s also a book about YOU, the reader, and ‘your role’ in this forthcoming Game Change that the NLS or Natural Lottery Show is cunningly inserting into your dna or deoxyribonucleic acid while you watch it, re-writing a re-wilding re-leasing agenda into the Human Matrix, while you think you’re being entertained.

Click the book cover to buy the Kindle or click here for the paperback.

Tandem (a G3 whistleblower novel)
written, re-written and final-edited in two months and tells the story of Lorien Howell, an estate manager at Oxford law firm Convo & Convo, who is seduced by her G3 whistleblowing client to join him in liberating mankind from The Global Gambling Game or WAR WORLD. Of course, she doesn’t believe him, in fact she despises his lunatic ramblings, until the evidence starts to mount in his favour and she finally sees what kind of a sick and manipulative (and wasted) world she inhabits.

Mankind is a vital part of the CORPORATE WAR MACHINE all the time, every day, 24/7/365 and this is the truth you’ve never been told. Many will deny it. Many will have counter-arguments and other such self-delusional defence mechanisms. Whether you care to listen to this message, whether you care to buy these books, is your choice. Or is it?

This is only your FREE PLANET when you choose to make it so.
